This work addresses pedagogy, language, and basic problem solving using permutations and combinations. For the 26 weeks during which he taught, Henricks arranged six tables in a classroom to form letters of the alphabet. The photos act as a trace of this performative gesture. Working from A to Z during over the course of the two semesters of the academic year, the photos were posted to his Instagram account every Monday. This presentation, using a slide projector, reintroduces the notion of sequence and temporality to the images, employing a technology that refers directly to academic contexts.
