MOMENTA BIENNALE DE L’IMAGE June 21, 2017 – My video installation Handy Man will be be featured in Momenta Biennale de l’image (formerly Le Mois de la Photo Montréal). This is the first time this work has shown in Montreal. Curated by Ami Barak, this exhibition will be presented at La galerie de L’UQAM and Vox centre de l’image contemporaine, as well as at other locations around the city. DOCUMENT XXL AT ARTEXTE April 13, 2017 – Though widely known as a resource centre for print documentation, Artexte also possesses a significant collection of audio-visual materials: films, videotapes, and DVDs; vinyl records, audiocassettes and CDs. The status of these objects varies: some are actual artworks and others are documentary evidence – secondary by-products that frame an artist’s practice and authorship. As part of a research residency, Montreal artist and writer Nelson Henricks has curatef an exhibition from Artexte’s audio-visual holdings. DOCUMENT XXL will be be presented April 13 to June 17, 2017.
