ENDLESS PAPER AT CALGARY CONTEMPORARY
June 26, 2017 – The video installation Endless Paper will be on view at Contemporary Calgary from August 30, 2017 to January 21, 2018. It is one of several works in extratextual, a group show curated by Joanne Bristol and Lisa Baldissera. The exhibition is linked to an international symposium on the agencies and futures of art writing titled Never the Same: what (else) can art writing do?
MOMENTA BIENNALE DE L’IMAGE
June 21, 2017 – My video installation Handy Man will be be featured in Momenta Biennale de l’image (formerly Le Mois de la Photo Montréal). This is the first time this work has shown in Montreal. Curated by Ami Barak, this exhibition will be presented at La galerie de L’UQAM and Vox centre de l’image contemporaine, as well as at other locations around the city. The biennale opens September 7 and runs until October 15, 2017. Hope to see you there
NELSON HENRICKS AT PAPIER 2017
April 18, 2017 – Works by Nelson Henricks will be featured in Papier 2017 at Paul Petro Contemporary Art. This years’ edition will be held at Arsenal Contemporary Art, 2020 William Street. April 13, 2017 – Though widely known as a resource centre for print documentation, Artexte also possesses a significant collection of audio-visual materials: films, videotapes, and DVDs; vinyl records, audiocassettes and CDs. The status of these objects varies: some are actual artworks and others are documentary evidence – secondary by-products that frame an artist’s practice and authorship. As part of a research residency, Montreal artist and writer Nelson Henricks has curatef an exhibition from Artexte’s audio-visual holdings. DOCUMENT XXL will be be presented April 13 to June 17, 2017.

May 23, 2016 – Motion. Montréal/Genève is an exhibition of video works by 11 Montreal artists and 12 Swiss and international artists. May 3, 2016 – The Regroupement des centres d’artistes autogérés du Québec (RCAAQ) has selected me to participate in the Montreal-Havana Exchange. I will develop a series of workshops and participate in a variety of activities (artist talks, studio visits, portfolio reviews) as well as meet with Cuban artists and curators. My visit will be hosted La Fabrica de Arte Cubano (F.A.C)., an interdisciplinary venue located in Havana.
